A 47 y/o male patient who is a house painter whom you haven’t seen in several years presents with a chief complaint of tiredness with daytime sleepiness. Â He is married. Â His wife states that the patient snores loudly. He was told when he was 50 lbs. lighter that he could control his hyperlipidemia by diet. Past medical history: Anxiety, cholecystectomy, vasectomy. Family Hx: father deceased at age 45 from massive MI. Social Hx: occasional ETOH, denies substance abuse or smoking cigarettes but occasionally smokes a cigar, denies participation in any routine exercises.
