3. Developmental age – pick the group you are going to teach (children, adults, elderly) (1 point)
 4. Domains are how you are going to teach. You do not have to teach in all three domains. However, you should have either the Cognitive Domain or the Psychomotor Domain and every teaching project have the Affective Domain. You can have all three if you are demonstrating a skill. You only writethis part on your outline.  This will not be mentioned in your PowerPoint Presentation due in week 7. (3 points)
Cognitive:  Are you teaching by using lecture or presentation , having pt take test, or give verbal feedback?  What are you presenting to the patient?  Example:  I am going to do PowerPoint presentation on Anxiety. I am going to include different types of anxiety and ways to treat anxiety.
Psychomotor:Â Are you having them demonstrate or do an activity? Example:Â Â I am going to demonstrate to the patient 3 relaxation techniques and have them demonstrate back to me.
Affective: How is the patient responding to the teaching? How would you know the patient is listening to what you say or are emotions involved.  How effective would your teaching be if your patient had depression, anxiety or was grieving a loss? How would you know if your patient, family or community was paying attention to your presentation? Example:  I will notice if my patient is looking away from my presentation or refuses to demonstrate breathing techniques. I will look for signs of anxiety or other emotions which might impair learning.
5. Two Outcomes - Start with Patient will or Learner will… do what…. by when (look at chapter 11) (4 points)

6. Activity – write down what you are going to do (what are you going to put in your presentation? Are you going to do any activity?  Example: I will present material on anxiety and I will involve my patient in learning relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, and meditation apps he can use on his phone. I will provide resources on support groups. (4 points)
7. Evaluation – think of five questions to evaluate your presentation (what do you want your patient to learn) (2 points)
