discuisssin Resply- Before the COVID-19 pandemic, nurse practitioners in some states had been practicing under physician supervision. Each state has its laws that govern them. To be an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), the nurse must be BOARD certified and must follow the standard scope of practice. Nurse practitioners are highly trained nurses to provide healthcare services to people. They can diagnose, treat, or manage diseases, participate in providing health promotions, teach disease prevention, and counseling, and refer patients to other healthcare professionals needed in managing their care (Wasserman et al., 2019). Since 2008 during the affordable care act was initiated, more people have health insurance and seeking medical care. It can be overwhelming for physicians to extend care to all people, and time-consuming to have a trained nurse practitioner to be to supervise under a physician. There is an increased need to render services in rural areas, and due to the shortage of physicians the people will suffer and there will be a lot of health disparities among people in the rural areas. There is an increasing need that no one to be left behind to suffer or not to be attended to by a practitioner, so nurse practitioners
