Patient’s down time-70 minutes, transferred to the ICU

After 2 weeks the patient was not able to be liberated from the ventilator. The patientÂ
was unresponsive, did not respond to voice or painful stimuli, pupil responsive wasÂ
sluggish and the corneal reflexes were absent. The patient underwent a tracheotomy andÂ
PEG tube insertion per the request of the family. The patient was transferred to a long-
term patient care facility after a 2 month hospitalization.
