I am selecting a randomized control trial ( a true experimental design) to asses the effects of individual counseling Vs support groups in the physical and psychological stress levels in frontline healthcare workers caring for Covid 19 patients. However, my question is: can I use a mixed methods research design better that would include a randomized control trial plus structured interviews to assess the subjects perspective of both interventions? Also, is it ok if for the analysis part if I use correlational analysis to assess the link between the interventions and the stress and a thematic analysis for the qualitative interviews?
