Tina, a 28-year-old Asian American woman, she and her infant are here for a postpartum visit. Tina is a patient in your family practice and she delivered a healthy 8 lb 5 oz baby girl via NSVD 6 days ago. Your practice’s protocol is to see Mom and baby in the office within the 1st week after delivery. She tells you that her breasts are very swollen and rock hard. She is trying to breastfeed and is having difficulty with assisting the baby to latch on. Â
Vital signs: T 98.9 P 82, RR 16, BP: 112/78Â
