Practice Case Study Mrs. Lasky
Â
Mrs. Angela Lasky is a 62-year-old Polish woman who has moved to the United States to be closer to her daughter. She has high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus, both of which require her to be on medication. She goes to the local health clinic every 2 weeks to have her blood pressure checked and blood glucose log reviewed to ensure that she is on the correct dosage of medications. There is some evidence that Mrs. Lasky may not understand or taking her medications well, as her blood pressure and glucose levels have both been elevated when she comes into the clinic. Mrs. Lasky speaks some English when she comes to the health clinic, but her daughter comes with her to the clinic to fill out any forms.
