Complain: “I have a rash on my back”Â
Â
History: A 48-year-old previously healthy female presents to the clinic with a rash on her left side back that she noticed yesterday. A few days before the rash appeared, she had a burning type of pain in this same area that persisted. She also reports feeling run down and has had a low grade fever. She had varicella as a child.Â

2. What would be the plan of care for this patient? Address the treatment of the rash as well as the pain and malaise.Â
3. What would be the patient education for an adult with this illness?
