Molly is admitted to the medical surgical unit with a diagnosis of diverticulitis. The CT scan of her abdomen also showed hepatomegaly.
Her current orders include:
Admit to medical floor: diagnosis diverticulitis
NPO with sips and chips
I & Os
Daily weights
Out of bed TID with assistance
Nasogastric tube to low intermittent suction (LIS)
Lactated Ringers at 100 mL/hr
Metronidazole 500 mg IVPB Q12H
Morphine 2 mg IV Q2H prn pain
Ondansetron 4 mg IV Q6H prn nausea
