Patient’s Interview, I need to make my own interview script with regards to admitting patient/s.

This is the criteria: 

Procedure: SIMULATED INTERVIEW

Student Nurse: Hi there, my name is [name], and I’m a student nurse. How are you doing today? 

 

Patient: Not too bad, I guess. 

 

Student Nurse: That’s great to hear! Can you tell me what brings you in today? 

 

Patient: Yeah, it’s been a few days since I’ve had any appetite and I haven’t been feeling well overall. 

 

Student Nurse: Okay, that sounds concerning. Have there been any other symptoms or changes in your health recently? 

 

Patient: Well, the past couple of nights have been really tough with sleeping – it takes forever for me to fall asleep and then when I do wake up throughout the night it’s hard for me to get back to sleep again. 

 

Student Nurse: Alright. Do you have any other medical conditions that may be contributing to this? 

 

Patient: Yes, actually – about two years ago I was diagnosed with asthma but fortunately my condition has improved since then so hasn’t really caused many issues lately. 

 

Student Nurse: Okay, that’s good to hear. Can you tell me a bit more about your current lifestyle – do you have any physical activities or hobbies? 

 

Patient: Yes, I’m an avid runner and usually go for a few runs each week. I also enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. 

 

Student Nurse: Alright, that’s great to hear. I think we should do some more tests and assessments to get a better idea of what is causing your symptoms. Is there anything else you’d like me to know before we begin? 

 

Patient: Not at the moment, no. Thanks for listening!
