Local senior day program requests your assistance. The program is funded through Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay. Many of the seniors are high functioning and able to actively participate in decision- making. The 2023 Medicare Part D program is in effect. The seniors are complaining that they do not understand the plan and how it affects them. Medicare D is new to you also.  Use content and formats that are age appropriate for the audience and literacy abilities. In your discussion cover the rationales used for your content, application of health literacy principles, and Public health nurse’s Competencies for health education (see Quad Council resource).

AND

Compose a 1-page information sheet on Medicare Part D 2023 plans.   Include:

·       eligibility,

·       when to sign up,

·       types of plans,

·       formularies,

·       costs per year.
