The current care delivery model in the healthcare setting would be impacted by integrating hand hygiene practices into the delivery model. The hand hygiene program would become a standard practice for all healthcare providers, and it would be incorporated into the daily routine of patient care. Hand washing stations would be available in all the rooms, and hand sanitizer dispensers outside each door as well as signs to remind all health care providers of the importance of hand washing. By doing so, hand washing could increase as healthcare workers will not have to go out of their way to perform hand hygiene and they will be reminded by the sign when leaving patients’ rooms. Hand washing for 40-60 seconds as recommended by WHO 2020 would be  easier to comply with if more hand sanitizer stations are available.
