Case Study 2: Stephanie is a 36-year-old with comes to with stating that in the last two days she has had these blotchy, red itching bumps that are very itchy. She has not used anything new that she is aware of. On exam you note raised, erythematous plaques that are well circumscribed. She denies having any difficulty breathing and there is no angioedema. You diagnose here with urticaria. 2. Please discuss the pathophysiology associated with urticaria.
