The textbook discusses some interesting models of how HR may be perceived and used within an organization. In my organization, we have a union that represents the staff. In addition, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and HR policies are very complex. Many of the managers find themselves struggling with applying performance appraisals and dealing with behavior issues. HR provides much direction on these legal concerns (Dessler, 2020). What are the pros and cons of HR functions with legal advice? Why is it helpful for an organization and how can it hurt an organization?Â
