Cushing’s disease is an adrenal disorder when cortisol secretion becomes compromised by producing too much. Cortisol responds to stress by regulating blood pressure, inflammation, and heart vessels. The syndrome may be corticotropin dependent or independent. Chronic hypercortisolism inhibits corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and vasopressin secretion from the hypothalamic and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), from the pituitary.  What are some treatments for Cushing’s disease?
